St. Mary's Road Food Bank
Paulette Cote has drawn on her education and experience to ensure that those who rely on the St. Mary's Road Food Bank are receiving garden fresh food as part of their bundles. By connecting the school she works in, Ecole Varennes, with the local food bank, St. Mary's Road Food Bank, her innovative ideas has had far-reaching effects on students, families, the staff and the whole community.

Paulette Cote: Community Worker in Action
Paulette Cote is a community outreach worker in Louis Riel School Division in Winnipeg, Manitoba and works at Ecole Varennes, a community French Immersion School. Ecole Varennes has 350 students who come from very diverse backgrounds and social economic situations. Seeing that many students did not have access to fresh produce, Paulette went to work to ensure that all students and families would have access for locally grown foods.
